Practicing law for over 30 years, Mr. Weissfeld devotes his practice primarily to litigation, as well as transactional work in Real Estate Law, Environmental Law, Condominium Law, Real Estate Finance Law, Loan Modification, General Civil Litigation, Contract Law and Tort Law. His career has taken him from the firm of Pircher, Nichols, Meeks, located in Century City, California (1985-1991), to in-house counsel at The Irvine Company, of Newport Beach, California (1983-85), to sole practitioner since 1991.

- Notable Experience:
From 1991 through 1996, Mr. Weissfeld initiated a series of lawsuits on behalf of more than 25 home owners in the Pacific Palisades section of Los Angeles, California. The lawsuits, against the City of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, and the State of California were for damages to homes as a result of negligent maintenance of the defendants’ infrastructure, including streets, bridges, and sewer systems. This negligent maintenance undermined and caused structural damage to the homes, which resulted in the destruction and severe damage to the plaintiffs’ homes. After protracted litigation, the defendants settled with the plaintiffs in an amount in excess of $8 million.
